Frequently Asked Questions
The feedback channels through #feedback-access offer a one-for-one system that guarantees quality feedback on audio, lyrics, and vocals. Members are required to first give objective and critical feedback before they can ask for advice on their own song. Points are tracked through the implementation of <MFR and <MFS bot commands.
If feedback is not received after 48 hours, members may tag @Moderators to receive help.
Artist of the Week is held on a biweekly schedule. Every other Sunday, eligible members may submit their song to be voted upon for the popular vote. Another week will follow for follow up questions from members and submissions will reopen. Music Feedback Listening and Short Song Challenge will occur when our Event Hosts are available.
To keep up with our events, make sure to assign yourself the roles to find out when they're happening!
There are three main channels for posting your original music: #intro-music, #finished-music, and #finished-lyrics.
New members may post in #intro-music for the first 8 hours after joining. After that, #finished-music can be used until the Stagehands role is reached. All works-in-progress may be posted in #works-in-progress.
The Music Feedback server has an entire channel dedicated to the collaboration process through #collaboration-access. Members may send out real-time alerts for specific roles they need filled, like Singers, Rappers, or Instrumentalists.
